EESPro, Employment & Education Support Project, supports current and former drug users who wish to access learning or work opportunities. Service users do not have to be drug free to use EESPro but do need to have a level of stability for their aspirations to be realistic. In addition they must be currently unemployed, and have the desire and motivation to gain work or education. We provide a range of assistance such as career advice, confidence building, interview coaching, and CV writing. Criminal Justice work is undertaken through Drug Iintervention Partnership and as part of Birmingham's Prolific Priority Offenders Partnership. EESPro also provides training, advice and support to employers relating to the management of drugs & alcohol in the workplace.

Birmingham Drugline provides open access and structured services to anyone affected by their own or someone else's drug use. Core services focus on harm reduction and include a telephone helpline, needle exchange, on-site prescribing as well as one to one drop in for advice and crisis support. More structured services include structured counselling, relapse prevention, and motivational enhancement alongside shared care, (GP based) prescribing work (substitute prescribing: maintenance, reduction and community detoxification). Birmingham Drugline works in partnership with Focus Futures Homeless Services Centre to provide street outreach and prescribing interventions to rough sleepers as well as on going support to ex rough sleepers and drug users in unstable accommodation. Birmingham Drugline also provides a range of complementary therapies either as an adjunct to care planned interventions or via open access aiming to assist in the engagement of new clients. Partnership work with the Probation Service provides care planned and prescribed interventions to residents of local Probation hostels including homeless and mentally disordered offenders.

The Zephyr Project is a structured daycare initiative for individuals who can manage a 12-week programme designed around their individual needs. The service aims to improve drug users self-efficacy by supporting the development of social & daily living skills through attention to; creative activities (arts, writing, gardening), basic skills (IT, literacy, numeracy, etc), therapeutic, educational & prescribed substances; approximately 40% are involved in DTTO supervision. Clients must have accomodation, be over 18 and receive care coordination from any one of the specialist drug treatment providers within Birmingham. Zephyr is open 6-days per week but clients are not expected to attend all sessions.
