The Anawim project is run by women for women. They offer a safe environment for women and their children. They offer various educational courses, children’s activities, small supplies of clothing and food, drug and housing advice and fun days out and social events. They work closely with drug teams and have an understanding of the life problems that women face while using drugs or trying to stop.

Methadone Clinic and Out-reach Team
The Safe project is a women only service.


The Safe project supports women who work in the sex industry. They offer assessment for drug treatment and sexual health advice and treatment. They also offer support in other areas of your life including housing and emotional issues.

They staff are all female and the premises offer a safe environment. The team also work closely with Anawin and other female orientated professional services. Safe also has an out-reach team which works with women out in the community. You don’t have to be in drug treatment to benefit from the support Safe can offer.

Mother and Baby Team

Mother and Baby Team

The Mother and Baby team assess pregnant women and their partners as a priority group. They work very closely with midwives and maternity units to ensure you and your baby’s needs are met. They will support you for a year after your baby is born and then will refer you to another drug service if you require further treatment and support.
